Product Development Support

Engineering-oriented support that connects component technology to the product architecture and the practical path toward production.

Development Flow

Start with the product, not only the part number

A component requirement is often a symptom of a broader product need. MarlinTek's application-first approach can begin with a block diagram, schematic, BOM, existing component or performance target and then map the requirement to suitable technologies.

Requirement definition

Capture voltage, current, power, switching frequency, operating temperature, package constraints, board footprint, application, expected quantity and other relevant requirements.

Technology evaluation

Compare appropriate semiconductor, sensing, capacitor, passive and magnetic technologies against electrical, thermal, mechanical and reliability requirements.

Design interaction

Where the requirement involves custom magnetics or reliability, the discussion can extend into topology, core selection, winding construction, thermal behaviour, derating and qualification.

Supply-chain alignment

Technical suitability is only part of a production decision. Availability, allocation, lead time, quantity and commercial requirements also need to be considered.
