High-frequency power transformers

MarlinTek's approved capability includes magnetic design for LLC resonant, phase-shifted full-bridge, flyback, active-clamp forward, push-pull, half-bridge and full-bridge topologies. The design objective is to achieve the required electrical isolation and energy transfer while respecting switching frequency, power density, winding construction and thermal limits.

High-current and PFC inductors

Inductor requirements vary significantly with topology. PFC inductors, buck inductors and boost inductors must be evaluated for current ripple, saturation, core loss, copper loss, temperature rise and mechanical envelope.

Core materials

The customer-approved portfolio identifies Sendust, MPP, High-Flux, Ferrite, Amorphous and Nanocrystalline materials. Material selection should be tied to frequency, flux swing, DC bias, loss, size and thermal objectives.

EMI suppression components

Common-mode chokes and differential-mode chokes can be designed for AC power lines, DC buses and SMPS input stages, with the application objective of reducing conducted EMI and managing ripple.

Engineering process

The practical flow is requirement capture, topology understanding, electrical sizing, core/material selection, winding construction, thermal consideration, prototype evaluation and production alignment. The website should make clear that the magnetic component is designed around the circuit—not treated as an isolated catalogue item.
